6 months +

Nov. 3rd Payton turned 6 months! I can't believe he's half way to a year old! It really does fly by! We had a lot of firsts this last week. On Friday, Nov. 4th, Payton cut his first tooth! He got his bottom left front tooth and the right one is ready to pop up next to it! He has been a little fussy on and off and drooling like crazy, but I wasn't ready for a tooth! ha! Payton has always enjoyed his baths and this week really started splashing for the first time. He got so excited he just was getting the water everywhere and splashin water in his face lol! Bath time is about to get really fun and busy!

On Tuesday, Nov. 8th, Payton slept through the night for the first time!!! The night before went well too, but Tuesday was amazing! I woke up mulitple times worried about him but he was just sleeping away! I went in and got him at 6 to feed and he went right back to sleep after that! WoW! I was so stoked about a full night of sleep! Today is the 12th and Payton has been an angel all week long about sleeping! He is maybe waking up once and all we do is swaddle him up and he goes right back to sleep. Such a sweet baby and has made mommy really really happy.

Payton is getting really close to crawling. He leans towards toys and has scooted towards them a few times. I bet he'll be really moving by Christmas! Look out! Stay tuned for more firsts...this mommyhood is so much fun!

Growing Like A Weed!

So as the weather outside is changing and getting colder, we need to get out some warmer clothes for PacMan. I went through his clothes tonight and put away all of the 0-3 month clothes he had. He now fits in 6 month outfits! WOW! I had a hard time putting some of those outfits away. They are so small and so sweet and my baby is just growing so fast. As the tears were coming I just thought about all of the fun things that Payton has been doing and how there are so much more fun exciting new things coming up soon! I put away the small little clothes and got out some warm cozy adorable new ones. This boy is such a stylish dresser! Look out ladies!

Wow! 4 months and now 5 months? Really?!!!

I can't believe that on Oct. 3, 2011, my little Payton turned 5 months old! I just can't believe how fast this time has gone by! I am SOOO thankful I got to spend most of that precious time at home with him before going back to work. Justin and I are absolutely in love with this little baby boy and are loving parenthood! Payton has been eating rice cereal since he turned 4 months old. He is an amazing eater...never had any problems and loves to eat. He is a pro at eating, but not so much at sleeping through the night LOL! On Saturday, Sept. 24th Payton really started rolling around. He had been rolling from his back to his tummy since the Aug., but now he is really moving. That night he rolled way up into the top part of his crib. So I guess the never sitting still stage is here! Look out! Payton really enjoys playing in his saucer now and is getting really strong. At his 4 month checkup he weighed 16.2 lbs and was 28.5 inches long! He is in the 86 percentile for his height to weight. Payton did really well with his shots. He's a little tough guy and dad was right there to distract him.

3 Months Old!

Mr. Payton Adam Clement is 3 month old as of Aug. 3rd! Yikes! That not only means 3 months have flown by, but that summer is almost over and my days at home with him all day are dwindling down! I have PIR days coming up that I will have to attend, but luckily Justin has some days he will be taking off and spending at home with PACman. Payton will be going to a home daycare when I go back to work. I am not looking forward to that day at all, but the daycare lady will be great.

Payton's changes in the last month: He found his hands as I had posted before...he is still busy as ever sucking on them and looking at them. He likes to grab his blanket and pull it up to his mouth and chew on it. He gets pretty feisty doing this and it's quite comical. He likes to kick his legs a lot and acts like he is just going to get up and run! He can almost grab his feet and I'm sure those will be going to his mouth soon too! Payton likes to hear his own voice and has been busy expressing himself lately. He still enjoys his playmat and his swing and spends time in them every day. He likes sitting up and looking around, but can't do it on his own just yet. He's getting pretty big! He is 14 lbs and is getting longer every day! I don't realize how long he is until I see someone else holding him and gosh he is growin like a weed!

Justin and I celebrated out 5th wedding anniversary on July 29th! We spent the day together as a family. Justin, Payton, and I packed up and went to Lewis and Clark Caverns, a fabulous dinner in LaHood, and then went to the drive-in in Butte. We had such an awesome day together! It was very relaxed and fun to spend it together! Payton did very well! We hope to do more of that together!

Lots of changes, busy all the time, and wondering what the next busy month has in store for the three of us! I'll keep ya updated!

Payton has found his hands the last couple of days! It's been a funny sight! He's been chewing and sucking on his hands like crazy. At first I thought he was just hungry, but he's doing it even after he has just eaten a big meal. He is also getting so excited while talking to people. He gets so excited he starts kicking his legs and cooing away. So cute! Payton, Grandma Neenie, and I (Justin is at his annual training) went out to Jeff and Pamela's yesterday to celebrate what would have been my dad's 56th birthday. Grandpa Tim would have so much fun with his little grandkiddos! I'm sure he's smilin down at little Payton and watching how fast he's changing! xoxo

Payton has been waking up at 1:30 or 2 for the last week and a half...like clockwork! I am sure anxious for him to start sleeping longer. He had been sleeping for a longer chunk, but somehow that's not happening lately!!! He took a long nap in his crib for the first time today. Payton usually sleeps in a bassinet next to my side of the bed. We will be putting him in the big crib in his own room soon...mommy's having a hard time with thinking about that...but REALLY wants to sleep better! :0)

Well a lot has happened in this last month of June. On the 13th, Payton really started cooing and smiling. Mommy and Payton made three road trips in one busy week down to Bozman for Lisa's wedding festivities! That was a busy and crazy week. Payton did really well for how busy we were! He likes riding in the car as long as he is not hungry and his pants are dry :0) He sleeps pretty much the whole time he is in his car seat. Lisa's wedding was Payton's first wedding to attend and he was a smashingly handsome little one that matched my bridesmaid dress AND his daddy. He even had his first dance with his mommy (June 25, 2011).
We celebrated the 4th of July out at Grandma Neenie's house. Justin was busy finishing my mom's yard work up (laying sod), so Payton and I chilled for the most of the weekend. Payton fell asleep before the fireworks started and didn't even wake up when the super loud ones were going off! Good sleeper!
The next day (July 5th), Payton had his 2 month checkup and had his first round of shots! Daddy met us at the doctors office for support. It was harder on mom than it was for Payton! He definately cried, but was fine after a few seconds. He was busy sleeping and eating and cuddling for the next two days and no reactions! Yea! He weighed in at 12.8 lbs and was 24 inches long! He is in the 73%! Our big boy is a growin boy! He sure likes to eat :0) lol!
July 9, mommy got out Payton's floor mat for the first time and he LOVED it! I hadn't even put in the batteries for the mobile to work and he was cooing and smiling at it! Watching him on his mat for th first time was priceless! Oh how much fun this mommy stuff is!
Payton sure is busy talking and smiling at his loved ones and is now getting so excited he starts kicking his legs and really movin! Oh he gets so excited! Another first...he finally did it...I knew it would happen sooner or later...he squirted himself in the face while mommy was changing him!
Lots has happened and we're super busy and super happy parents!

Six weeks already!

Payton is starting to sleep longer than 2.5 hrs at a time...at night that is. He has been giving mommy about 3.5-4.5 hours at the beginning of the night so mommy can get a nice few hours of peaceful sleep. After that it's about ever 2.5 hours til we're up and going around 8 or 9. Payton has his happy time about 6ish where he's starting to coo and smile this week! We'd seen him smile in his sleep, but these are real smiles and they make all of those sleepless nights so worth it! Oh what a blessing we have here! He really started giving us some smiles on June 13 but this video is from the 15th...sooooo cute! I am so in love with my baby boy!

Wow! Mommyhood is a lot tougher than I thought it would be. I have been around babies a lot, but it's truely different when they are your own and you have to take care of them 24 hours a day. Payton loves to eat, sleep, and cuddle! His favorite sleeping position is like a little frog on your chest and he would love to stay curled up there forever...except for chow time lol! We are spending the days on the couch resting and watching movies. I am wondering how I will ever return to normal and get anything done around here...people say I will...we'll see :0)

Payton Adam Clement is finally here!

On May 3, 2011 Payton Adam Clement made his appearance in this world at 3:59 pm! He weighed 8 lbs and 7 oz and was 21 inches long! After a long 27 hours of labor resulting in a c-section, our little miracle arrived! Mommy and baby were healthy and doing well. We are so happy to be parents and start on this amazing journey. Let the fun begin!
